Void Properties
Garfield Builders carry out all works associated with void properties from the initial clearance to final handover of the property. We understand that the client’s needs vary and we have experience working with several housing associations, letting agents and private customers, accommodating for their individual requirements.
Clearance of the void properties is carried out by our fully trained operatives who carry out tasks such as needle sweeps and environmental cleans to offer a safe working environment. Any waste is removed from site by our fleet of vehicles, which are fully licensed to carry all types of refuse, it is then disposed of according to all local and environmental regulations. Waste transfer notices can be produced on request.
The operatives can cover all aspects of void remedial works, large or small, including full decorations, carpentry, plumbing, heating, electrics and general building. Whether it be a few minor repairs and a clean to a full refurb including
new kitchen, bathroom, windows, doors and flooring Garfield Builders are best placed in the sector to complete your void turnarounds.
Electrical inspection and certification is also catered for as part of the void property service we can offer, along with any electrical repairs needed. This work is carried out by our own team of fully qualified electricians and the company has obtained NICEIC accreditation. Gas servicing and testing also forms an important part of the void capabilities offered by Garfield Builders and all repairs detected within the void can be carried out by our Gas Safe registered engineers.
Environmental Cleans
As part of the ever expanding services offered by Garfield Builders, we can now accommodate all of your environmental cleaning needs.
This includes the removal of general or contaminated rubbish from site or public areas, where the environment has become unsafe. We also cover the clearance and cleaning of void properties in the social housing sector and have contracts with several housing associations to carry out this type of service. The cleaning of bodily fluids and needle sweeps form an integral part of the services offered by Garfield Builders, leaving void properties or general public areas safe for follow on trades or for the general public to return.
All environmental cleaning is carried out by our fully trained operatives who have successfully completed the relevant training courses in order to meet all industry standards. As with all services offered by Garfield Builders, we can adapt to the individual service you require.
